Most awkward e-mail ever

Once in a while, something can be so awkward that it's borderline absurd and thus leads to hilarity. Well, one of those things happened to me this morning when I awoke to an e-mail from my ex-boyfriend's mother in Israel. She and I keep in touch and have a cordial relationship whereas her son and I are not in touch, so anyway, she e-mailed to say hi but then wrote the following:

רציתי לשאול אותך לגבי הדברים שהשארת אצל תומר ,המגבות והפן .

מה את רוצה שנעשה איתם ?

האם את מתכננת להגיע לארץ בקרוב? (אם כן, נשמח מאד ...).

In English that translates to: 'I wanted to ask you about the things that you left with Tomer (her son, my ex-boyfriend), the towel and the blowdryer. What do you want us to do with them? Are you planning on coming to Israel soon? (If so, we'd be very happy...)

So basically she asked me what I wanted to do with the stuff that I left with her son. Doesn't she find it weird to intermediate like that?? It's such an awkward situation; I have no idea what to say to her! Should I tell her to hold on to the stuff? To donate it? To have someone pick it up for me? I don't care but I find this situation so freaking funny that as I was communiting on the T and commuter rail back from Boston today I thought of this e-mail and cracked up out loud multiple times (and people probably thought that I was very weird).
As my good friend wrote to me after I forwarded her the e-mail: "oh for g-d's sake, why did she have to write that email, just stick them in a closet somewhere, and throw them out in 5 years if she hasnt heard from you, or...caste them in bronze if you guys get married...."

Foreal.

MLK weekend

I just got back from a mini-vacation in Vermont with 3 of my friends. We stayed at my friend's aunt's beautiful ski house in Stowe and we had a great time. They had a working fireplace which we lit, huge screen tv with cable, wireless, a stocked kitchen, pool table, amazing views, and lots of snow. Even the 0 degree weather wasn't that bad. We meant to go skiing but it never actually materialized, unfortunately. We did watch the Giants game at the Matterhorn, meet the Jagermeister girls and get free t-shirts, and explore a little bit of the quaint town named Stowe. On the way back we stopped at the Ben and Jerry's factory and we made it back in time for shermanating and my Senior Class Gift Committee meeting.
Looking forward to learning some computers on Wednesday...

COSI 2a

Of course.

So this is my first post and it's due to my class, COSI 2a, Intro to Computers. I'm a senior and graduating this May without having a computer science class under my belt, so I figured why not. Plus I'm planning on doing an independent study on CMS/JOOMLA/lamp stack- programming so I thought this class would be a good introduction.

Well now I must help my friend with case study interview questions, so until next time, l'hit.
